Altruistic Innovations and TerraVertex Innovation Hub have come together to create stronger connections between alternative-protein industry experience, biotechnology depth, and practical future-food learning.
Led by Sruthi Sadanand and Dr Yashaswini Balaraju, this women-led partnership brings together more than two decades of combined experience across cultivated meat, plant-based foods, food-tech applications, mycology, molecular protein technologies, biomaterials, sustainability-led innovation, and ecosystem building.
The collaboration was shaped by a shared belief: students should encounter future-food innovation not only through theory, but through real technologies, industry challenges, global developments, and the people actively building the sector.

Future Food Careers: Alternative Proteins & Opportunities Ahead
As the first initiative under this partnership, Altruistic Innovations and TerraVertex Innovation Hub are hosting a practical webinar for students curious about alternative proteins, food technology, biotechnology, sustainability, and emerging careers in future food.
The session will move beyond a general introduction to the sector. It will help students understand the technologies shaping alternative proteins, the skills the industry needs, and the different pathways available across research, product development, entrepreneurship, strategy, and ecosystem building.
